Top five burgers on the Gold Coast: Chaddies Patties names the best in the city

This northern Gold Coast burger joint has been named the best in the region for the second year in a row. Find out who won.

A northern Gold Coast burger restaurant has been named the city’s best for the second year in a row.

Chaddies Patties secured 20 per cent of the Bulletin reader vote to crown the Coast’s best burger joint and owner Chad Henderson said it was a honour to have defended the title.

“It’s pretty cool, the first one people might think of as a fluke and then the second one really shows that you’ve proven yourself.

“It’s definitely good to create that traction now within the community, and people are starting to take notice, which to win again, just solidifies the hard work that the team are putting in,” he said.

Mr Henderson said it was heartening to see their hard work is paying off.

“Without the community you wouldn’t have the award so just knowing that people are taking their time to sign up and vote means a lot to us.

“There’s a lot of hard work and effort that goes in behind the scenes with myself and the team that we are building to maintain those standards and that structure that we aim to uphold,” he said.

Mr Henderson said Chaddies Patties works closely with their meat supplier to provide the best quality for their customers.

“The Meat Hub are the ones that are always providing us with the best beef... we all work together to make our own ground beef options that are specific to Chaddies Patties.

“Just having that support from suppliers is few and far between these days,” he said.

Longboards Laidback Eatery and Bar was runner-up in the poll with 10 per cent of the vote, Mudgeeraba Seafoods was third with six per cent and the Easy Street Diner and Eddie’s Grub House tied in fourth, also with six per cent.
