Fitness influencer Tammy Hembrow has announced her divorce with husband Matt Zukowski.
After weeks of speculation around a separation, the model and business owner made the announcement to TikTok on Sunday to her 2.1 million followers.
“I wanted to finally tell you guys that I am going to be getting a divorce,” she said.
“I know a lot of you have been following my journey for years, so I wanted to be open about it and I do feel like me addressing it with you guys is therapeutic – it’s sort of the next step for me I guess.”
The pair were married in November last year in a lavish ceremony at the Chateau Du Soleil in Byron Bay surrounded by family and friends.
However, the couple had been fuelling split rumours for weeks with Ms Hembrow removing her husband from Instagram at one point, changing her surname back to her maiden name on the public platform and Mr Zukowski missing from milestone moments.
Ms Hembrow said in the video she didn’t want to discuss details about what had happened.
“I don’t want to get into details and I’m not going to try and rip anyone down,” she said.
“I just want to be sensitive to everyone involved – I don’t want to talk about anyone other than myself.”
The fitness influencer, who has amassed more than 11 million followers on Instagram, said she blamed no one but herself.
“I feel like I’ve not made the best choices when it comes to relationships,” she said.
“I feel like I’m really good at putting on rose coloured glasses or just getting swept up in it all.
“The worst part for me is that I have kids. I don’t care about me – I know I’ll be OK but I feel awful for my kids. I just feel awful.”
Ms Hembrow said she didn’t want her marriage to end in divorce, but it was the only option.
“When you marry someone, you do it thinking that it’s going to be forever,” she said.
“At the end of the day I know this is what needs to happen. There’s no other option.”
She added that commentary circulating online was false, and this was her first marriage.
“Nothing anyone can say can make me feel more s**t than I already do, or more humiliated,” she said.
Ms Hembrow said she plans to focus on healing and “all the good things” in her life.
The pair announced their engagement in December 2023, just three months after the couple went public with the relationship
