A Gold Coast student who had been before the courts last month over stalking and sexual assault charges has been accused of additional offences.

Swapnil Singh, 24, appeared with his defence lawyer Antonious Abdelshahied in the Southport Magistrates Court on Wednesday for the first mention of three new charges.

Mr Singh had previously been charged with sexually assaulting two women, one of which he also allegedly stalked while drunk in the Cavill Ave party precinct in the early hours of June 15.

The court has previously heard Mr Singh was believed to have followed five women throughout the course of the night.

At his last court appearance, the court heard some or all of the alleged offending was captured on CCTV, and clothing was discovered during a search warrant.

Mr Singh, an Indian national currently on a student visa while undertaking a Masters of Pharmacy at Griffith University, is currently on bail for the previous charges.

Under his bail conditions, he must surrender his passport, report to police twice a week, adhere to a 7pm-7am curfew, abstain from alcohol or illicit drugs and take part in alcohol or drug testing when required.

On June 26, Mr Singh was charged with another count of sexual assault and two more counts of unlawful stalking, intimidation, harassment or abuse.

Court documents allege Mr Singh stalked two more women on Ferny Ave on the same day as the other alleged offences and sexually assaulted one of the women.

He is now before the court on six charges; three stalking charges and three sexaul assault charges.

Mr Singh has not entered any pleas.

Acting Magistrate Steve Wettenhall allowed Mr Singh’s bail on all charges under the same conditions as his original bail undertaking.

The matter is due back before the courts on August 7.
