Police have declared a crime scene after a fire ripped through a home in a semirural Gold Coast suburb.

Up to 21 emergency service crews rushed to a home at Halls Rd in Luscombe at around 8.20pm on Thursday.

A Queensland Fire Service spokeswoman said when crews arrived they found the home engulfed in flames.

It took crews roughly four hours to extinguish the fire.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said they have since declared the area a crime scene and were treating the blaze as suspicious.

Paramedics were called to the fire but luckily no one was injured.
