Police are hunting for two men after a savage Surfers Paradise attack which left the victim in hospital and requiring surgery.
A Queensland Police Service (QPS) spokesman said a 25-year-old Varsity Lakes man sustained serious facial injuries when he was attacked almost a fortnight ago on Trickett Street.
The victim was approached by two men about 11.25pm on September 14 and assaulted.
According to the QPS spokesman the males took off before police arrived on scene.
Detectives from Gold Coast Criminal Investigation Branch have released CCTV footage of two men they want to speak with as part of their inquiries.
The males appear to be aged in their twenties and were dressed in black track pants.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who may recognise the men, or who may have been in the area at the time of the incident to contact police.
