A road has been blocked in both directions after a crash involving a truck and two other vehicles on the northern Gold Coast.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the accident at Pimpama Jacobs Well Rd in Pimpama at 11.36 on Friday.
A white Isuzu ute and grey Nissan ute were both badly damaged in the incident, which also involved a tipper truck.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said three people had been assessed at the scene. Two were taken in stable conditions to Gold Coast University Hospital, with one of them having suffered chest injuries. It’s understood the patients were the truck driver and the driver of one of the utes.
The third person declined transport to hospital.
It was the second major incident on northern Gold Coast roads on Friday after a three-car crash on the M1 southbound near exit 57 at 8.36am.
A Queensland ambulance spokeswoman said paramedics assessed four people and took two to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
The other two people declined transport.
A Gold Coast police spokesman said they had to close one lane while emergency services assessed the patients.
At 9.21am traffic was backed up from Helensvale to Pimpama, only finally clearing shortly after 10am.
