Geelong residents have officially lit up the holiday season, as homes across the region flicked the switch on their dazzling Christmas displays this week.

From simple twinkling decorations to elaborate setups featuring reindeer, Santa and the occasional Grinch, the city is sparking with Christmas cheer.

With 161 locations, lovers of the festive season can plan the ultimate trip across the region as the Christmas countdown begins.
