Parts of Geelong and the Surf Coast are being lashed with gale force winds amid a severe weather warning.
A number of trees have fallen on the Bellarine Peninsula while emergency services have responded to calls for help in Newtown and Grovedale on Tuesday.
Damaging winds of up to 90 km/h could be experienced in Geelong and further along the coast for the rest of evening, according to the Bureau of Meterology.
Trees have fallen in Swan Bay, Marcus Hill, Indented Head, Portarlington, Curlewis, Charlemont, Bellbrae and Torquay.
Gusts of more than 91 km/h were recorded in Aireys Inlet shortly after 4pm, with wind damage also reported this afternoon.
A Victoria SES statement has told people to secure outdoor furniture and park vehicles undercover or away from trees.
Abnormally high tides may also occur in the Geelong region.
Portarlington resident, Vanessa Jones, said strong winds and high tides were being experienced.
More to come.
