Police have launched an investigation after two people were hit by a car in Geelong West on Tuesday night.
Paramedics were called to the collision on Gordon Ave around 9.20pm on Tuesday after a car turning into the street from Pakington St hit two pedestrians.
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said the pedestrians – a 25-year-old Fraser Rise man and a 25-year-old Hamlyn Heights woman – were transported to Geelong hospital in stable conditions.
Both suffered minor injuries.
A police spokesman said investigators were told the driver of a Jeep has been travelling north on Pakington St and was turning right into Gordon Ave when he collided with the pair.
“The 53-year-old driver from Chesney Vale stopped and assisted police at the scene,” the spokesman said.
The spokesman said investigations were continuing.
