Multi-car collision in Geelong West leaves two hospitalised

Emergency services have responded to a pile up on a busy Geelong West road.

Two people have been hospitalised following a four car collision on Shannon Ave on Wednesday afternoon.

Ambulance Victoria confirmed they were called to reports of a collision shortly before 4pm.

“Paramedics treated two people at the scene, both have been taken to Geelong University Hospital in a stable condition,” a spokeswoman said.

It is believed three cars collided with a parked vehicle on Shannon Ave near Trigg Street in Geelong West.

Witnesses say they heard a loud bang before occupants were cut from a vehicle.

Traffic was impacted with both lanes closed between Trigg and Britannia St.
