A young woman found dead in a Corio street on Saturday is being remembered as a “loving mother” of three small children.
Nevay Pepers, 25, was found dead on a Purnell Rd about 9.15am on Saturday morning.
The late Norlane resident’s partner Danny Mooring said she had faced challenging times but had been doing the best she had ever done before her accidental death on Saturday.
“It was one of the happiest times of her life,” he said.
“(She was) a beautiful soul, a loving mother and I’ll miss her forever.
“I still haven’t cried yet, it hasn’t hit me yet.”
Ms Peper’s employer Jayden Tonkin said she had been training to become a truck driver at their Lara Kelly Logistics headquarters and working washing trucks.
“It’s a real tragedy, on a personal level, beyond what we need to do as an employer,” he said.
“She’d been doing more hours, making steady progress - she was doing really well.
“It’s a shock.”
The death is not being treated as suspicious and police will prepare a report for the coroner.
An online death notice said the loving daughter, sister, mother and granddaughter passed away suddenly on Saturday.
The notice said the truck driver in the making was gone “way too soon”.
“You are beautiful inside and out, you will be missed everyday,” the notice read.
“We love you, our hearts are broken beyond repair.
“You will be missed with tears but remembered with a smile.
“You are forever young.
“Rest in peace angel girl.”
