The Bellarine is in line to get a new $3m childcare facility for more than 100 children, with plans for the facility currently before Geelong council.
The plans, submitted by Ratio Consultants, relate to a site on Jetty Rd in Clifton Springs.
The centre would have capacity for 103 children aged up to five, and operate between the hours of 6am and 7pm Monday to Friday.
The land at 79-81 Jetty Rd is 3612 sqm and currently home to a residential property.
Other residential properties surround the site, which is located nearby Clifton Springs Primary School and Clifton Springs Tennis Club.
Three outdoor play areas are included in the plans, with 22 car spaces available on-site.
In June, it was reported a similar sized centre would be set up nearby in Portarlington.
Ran by Pod, the centre would host almost 100 children and cost approximately the same as the proposed Clifton Springs location.
In Geelong, two new multimillion-dollar centres were lodged in April.
Plans for the new centres – in Highton and Grovedale – were lodged with the City of Greater Geelong.
Begley Group submitted plans for a multi-level Highton centre at 22-24 Barrabool Rd, which if approved would cost about $5.3m and cater for 106 children.
