A RESPECTED former public servant who served under five prime ministers, a former NT chief minister and a soon-to-be retired NT MLA will form part of the NT Government’s nine member post coronavirus economic reconstruction team.
Chief Minister Michael Gunner today released the terms of reference for the Territory Economic Reconstruction Authority and announced seven members of the team, with two more to be revealed next week.

The members so far are:
•Martin Parkinson, former Secretary of the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet and the Department of Treasury.
•Romilly Madew, CEO of Infrastructure Australia.
•Gail Kelly, corporate leader, board director and former CEO of Westpac.
•Eytan Lenko, technology entrepreneur and CEO of Beyond Zero Emissions.
•Professor Mick Dodson, NT Treaty Commissioner.
•Paul Henderson, former Chief Minister.
•Gary Higgins, former Leader of the Opposition and retiring Member for Daly
The commission has been tasked to provide the Chief Minister an interim report by late July and a final report in November.

Meanwhile, a “Team Territory” comprising of several business, industry and community leaders in the NT will be formed to advice the commission to make sure the recommendations “can work for the Territory” and advise the government, whomever that may be after August, on how to implement them.
It will be chaired by former Labor Chief Minister Clare Martin and Dick Guit.
The existing functions of Team NT will also merge into this body.
