DARWIN Buffaloes on-baller Isaac Seden-Kurnoth is the Round 8 nominee for the 2019-20 NT News Rising Star.

The tough inside midfielder has made the step up from junior ranks to Premier League football as easily as jumping off a springboard into the deep end of a swimming pool.

Still only 17, Seden-Kurnoth has played all seven matches in the senior grade since making his debut in the big win over the Tiwi Bombers in Round 1.

His coach Matt Campbell is a big fan of his young pupil, saying Seden-Kurnoth had been very good in all of his senior appearances in a double blue jumper.

“Isaac can mix it up on the inside where he can win the contested ball,’’ Campbell said.

“That’s a pretty good effort at his age and he’s been important for us every week.

‘You don’t play in the Premier League for the Buffaloes unless you can perform consistently well and that’s what he’s been able to do.

“He’s a local boy from the Seden and Kurnoth families who has played for Thunder at under-18 level and knows his way around a footy ground.’’

This season’s Rising Star will be presented to the public during the Nichols Medal presentation at Mindil Beach Resort Casino in mid-March.
