The world record for the most push-ups while carrying 45kg one one’s has been set in Dariwn.
Balanced Choice founder Adam Drake fell to the floor in relief after his record-breaking attempt to complete the most push-ups in less than a minute with 100lbs on his back.
For the record, he did 64 of the intense movements.
Adam said it was important for the younger generation to see people do something hard to make everything else “a bit easier”.
“We go into detention centres where we see kids who have really struggled most of their life, had situations that I would never have been able to deal with,” he said.
“When I first met them, I was a full-blown alcoholic just trying to get my life together, and then those kids inspired me to want to change, my own daughters and these kids that I work with, so now it’s just that I want to be the best adult I can be.”
Mr Drake said footage of the attempt would be sent to the Guinness World Records team for approval.
“It’s still 12 weeks now, they have to check the depth of the push-up, which is to 90 degrees,” he said.
