A 15-year-old boy on his bicycle has been hit by a car in a “serious incident” during rush hour on Tiger Brennan Dr this morning.
St John Ambulance NT communications manager Jeannette Button said the cyclist was left in a serious condition and was transported to hospital.
“The young male cyclist has sustained serious injuries and has been transported to hospital as a Priority One,” she said.
The 67-year-old female driver stopped at the scene and helped Police.
Her car was taken by Major Crash Investigations for further examination.
St John Ambulance NT operations manager Craig Garraway confirmed the cyclist had been hit near the intersection of Tiger Brennan Dr and Stoddart Dr about 7.30am this morning.
“I have just been there … a pedestrian has been hit by a car,” he said.

The entrance into the city end of Bayview’s Stoddart Dr remains closed following the accident.
Major Crash Investigations continue to monitor the scene.
The cyclist has been taken to Royal Darwin Hospital for treatment.
