Desperate search for Victorian visitor Daymond Ness missing in Nitmiluk National Park

POLICE are desperately searching for a Victorian man believed to be missing in a Territory National Park.

Daymond Ness, a 30-year-old man from Melbourne, had been travelling alone and arrived in Katherine from Darwin by hire car on Monday.

Police believe he arrived alone at the Nitmiluk National Park sometime after 1pm on Tuesday and went for a walk on one of the Nitmiluk trails but did not return.

Police together with Parks and Wildlife staff are currently searching the national park.

Mr Ness is described as a caucasian male, thin build, 185–190cm tall, dark brown hair, hazel eyes and was last seen wearing a black top, green/grey pants and red shoes.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen Mr Ness or knows of his whereabouts to contact them on 131 444
