While most Queensland kids relax on school holidays, this Gold Coast girl is preparing to strut her stuff at one of the country’s most prestigious modelling competitions.
Broadbeach Waters resident, Elanor Hall, will compete as a finalist at Top Model Australia on Sunday, hopefully one step closer to striding down European catwalks at fashion week.
“I’ve always been into the arts: singing and acting and everything ... my mum suggested to me one day that I should get into modelling and I tried it out and I really loved it, ” Ms Hall said.
“The way that I go about modelling is like when I step onto a photo shoot or cat walk, when I’m in that outfit, I just take on that character, it’s like acting.”
Ms Hall said what she thinks the judges are looking for is “confidence,” and for models who are easy to work with on set.
“They’re also judging you on your walk and your ability to photograph well.”
To prepare for the competition, Ms Hall has been conscientiously practising her walk, one that will hopefully take her all the way down the catwalks at London and Paris fashion week, which will be her next stops if she wins the finals in Melbourne.
