The Northern Territory is set to welcome an exciting new event in 2025 with the launch of the inaugural Festival of Women, a dynamic and inclusive celebration with the aim of empowering women from all walks of life.

Building on the success of the No Woman Left Behind Conference, the festival will take place this Saturday, 1 March 2025, at the Darwin Turf Club, followed by the No Woman Left Behind Luncheon on Friday, 7 March, at Mindil Beach Casino Resort.

Founder Rebecca Ross, reflecting on six years of empowering events, said it was time to evolve.

“The conferences have been a success, but we’ve outgrown the format,” Ms Ross said.

“This festival is about breaking barriers, embracing diversity, and making sure everyone can take part at an affordable price.”

With the theme “Elevate and Celebrate” the festival offers an immersive experience with something for everyone.

Internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter Toni Childs will perform live, while festival-goers can explore entertainment hubs, wellbeing workshops, and insightful panel discussions featuring inspiring women from emergency services, innovation, rural industries, and more.

Family-friendly activities, comedy, live music, and hands-on workshops — including practical skills like tyre changing — round out the day’s offerings.

Tickets start at just $20, with free entry for kids under 12.
