THE grieving family of one Darwin’s shootings victims Michael Sisois say they will protest in front of the court if the alleged gunman pleads not guilty.
The man accused of killing four people in a mass shooting in Darwin, Benjamin Hoffmann, will reportedly plead not guilty by reason of mental impairment.
The Australian reports Hoffman claims he was denied mental health treatment on three occasions leading up to the June 4 attacks, where four people were killed and a fifth seriously injured.

The news that Hoffmann may plead not guilty has rattled the family members of victim Michael Sisois, who was killed at the Buff Club.
“Since we buried Michael our family has been completely torn up — we want justice,” his sister-in-law Tammy Sisois said.
“I know our family will want to make a stand if he pleads not guilty — we’ll picket in front of the court if we have to.”

Mrs Sisois said the apology that Clinton Hoffmann, the alleged shooter’s brother, made to the victim’s families online gave her no comfort.
“Nothing will be able to undo the heartbreak this shooting has caused us, nothing,” she said.
The other victims killed in the Darwin shooting were taxi driver Hassan Baydoun, 33, Nigel Hellings, 75, and 52-year-old Darwin casino security guard Rob Courtney.
