SEVEN businesses and a church in Palmerston have been broken into by thieves and vandals.
Three businesses in Durack had their front windows smashed in, one business in Yarrawonga, three businesses at the Bakewell shops and a church in Moulden were targeted overnight Wednesday.
It is not yet know what, if anything, was stolen from most of the premises.
However one Bakewell shop had liquor stolen, and another had $1000 cash stolen from the till. A laptop was also taken from a Durack business.
Duty Superintendent Drew Slape said police received a report of an unlawful entry in progress at at 1.30am at the Bakewell Shopping Centre in Palmerston.
Police have released footage of a trio breaking into a shop at Bakewell but it is not known if the trio were involved in any of the other break-ins across town.
Police arrived at the shops within two minutes of the report but by then the three offenders had left the area.
Three businesses were broken into and damaged but CCTV footage captured the trio fleeing the area.
