A worldwide search to fill one of the most powerful jobs in the Territory is underway.
The government has begun advertising for a new Commissioner of Police, Fire and Emergency Services.
The role, alongside the position of Deputy Commissioner, has been advertised by the Territory Government today.
Reece Kershaw resigned from the role in July to take up the position of Commissioner of the Australian Federal Police.

Deputy Commissioner Grant Nicholls also announced he would retire at the end of the year after almost three years in the role.
Advertising will run for three weeks with the appointment of a new commissioner expected over the coming months.
