POLICE have apprehended a prisoner who escaped from the Darwin Correctional Precinct on a buggy this weekend at Mindil Beach.
NT Police said Shaun Liddle drove away from the prison at Holtze from the horticultural work area at 1.55pm on Friday, driving a green Polaris side-by-side buggy.

He was seen wearing orange high-vis clothing and travelling along Willard Rd.
Police said they caught the 28-year-old shortly after 6.30pm on Sunday evening at Mindil Beach.
A NT police spokesman said police would like to thank the public for their assistance.
