Police are appealing for witnesses to an alleged assault of an 11- year-old girl in Nightcliff.
The girl was at the Sunset Park playground on the Nightcliff foreshore at around 8.30pm on Friday night when police say she was approached and assaulted.
The offender is described as being of Aboriginal descent, between 150 to 170cm and of slim build.
Police are also seeking to speak with anyone who may have photographs or video footage of the Sunset Park area that was obtained between 6pm to 8.30pm on Friday May 10.
