DISGRACED sports scientist Stephen Dank has faced the Darwin Local Court for the first time charged with 20 separate offences including causing serious harm, fraud and forgery.

During the brief administrative hearing, Crown prosecutor David Morters SC revealed the extent of the charges and the matter was adjourned until February next year when the committal process will begin.

The charges against Dank include unlawfully causing serious harm, recklessly endangering serious harm, forgery, knowingly uttering a forged document and obtaining benefit by deception.

Earlier this month, the NT News revealed Territory police had laid charged against the 56-year-old, who had previously been the mastermind of the Essendon Football Club’s notorious peptide scandal which saw 34 players banned from competing in the 2016 AFL season.

It is understood the charges relate to Dank’s brief period of employment at Darwin’s Ageless Health Clinic in early 2017.
