ALLEGED Darwin gunman Ben Hoffmann has been charged with four counts of murder.
Detectives formally interviewed Hoffmann on Thursday afternoon at the Darwin police watch house, and charged him with the murders of Nigel Hellings, 75, Hassan Baydoun, 33, Michael Sisois, 57 and Rob Courtney, 52.
He has also been charged with two counts of recklessly endangering serious harm and one count of criminal damage.
Hoffmann is expected to front Darwin Local Court by video link on Friday from Holtze prison.
Hoffmann’s alleged crimes have left Darwin in shock, and more than 100 police officers are involved in the investigation into the shooting spree in which he is the sole suspect.
Hoffman had since Tuesday night been in custody under police guard at Royal Darwin Hospital.
On Thursday he was moved to the Darwin watch house and then to Holtze Prison, where he will be kept in isolation.
