THE first taste of Spring is coming with things starting to heat up.

It’s a good time to get out and about and explore the sites around Alice Springs this week with a lovely warm winter’s week forecast.

There won’t be a day under 20C this week, with the long weekend looking particulary nice with temperatures in the mid 20s.

It will be sunny with a top of 23C on Saturday, 24C Sunday and 26C on Monday.

Minimum temperatures will sit between 2C and 6C between today and next Wednesday.

The average maximum temperature for Alice Springs in July is 19.9C.

Dry and gusty winds will be present over the coming days across the Territory, as a high slowly moves across the Great Australian Bight, The Bureau of Meteorology’s weather situation says.
