NT police apprehended two youths in an allegedly stolen vehicle overnight after spiking its tyres.
The Toyota RAV 4 was reported stolen in Alice Springs at 8am on Tuesday.
Police located the vehicle at 10.30pm last night after it was reported being driven recklessly around the town’s CBD.
The driver allegedly failed to stop when signalled, so police engaged in a pursuit.
A tyre-deflation device was successfully deployed on Bradshaw Drive, though the vehicle continued travelling south past the Gap before the occupants allegedly dumped the vehicle and ran out into bushland near the 8HA radio station.
Two youths were apprehended shortly afterwards.
