THREE people have been hospitalised after they crashed their car into a tree in Girraween overnight.

St John NT operations manager Craig Garraway said at about 9pm crews transported three people to the Palmerston Hospital and the Royal Darwin Hospital.

“There were no serious injuries but they collided quite heavily with the tree,” he told ABC Darwin.

He said the car was extensively damaged.

Not long after, at about 11pm, two cars collided in Virginia.

“One person was taken to hospital. There were no serious injuries.

“Drivers should be more observant and take their time out on the roads.”
