The Finke River recorded 12mm and Yulara saw just more than 1mm.
Showers and possible storms are forecast for Friday and Saturday, where up to 10mm of rain is forecast.
The Bureau of Meteorology said humid conditions in Central Australia are forecast to clear late this week.
“An extra dose of humidity has accompanied recent higher temperatures. The sticky situation is due to continue for most of the week,” BOM said.
“The extra moisture is great for sparking thunderstorms and showers.
“It’s possible the humidity across the region could give any storms that form an extra kick, so forecasters are on the lookout for any severe thunderstorms that might bring damaging winds and heavy rain.
“Tennant Creek got a taste of this with a storm on Monday – some wind gusts reached up to 47 knots (or around 87 kilometres per hour).

“Thunderstorms are expected to keep things steamy for most of the week, with the potential for storms continuing around Yulara on Friday. It’s possible that there’ll be patchy rain across the southern forecast districts this weekend.
“A cool change could see maximum temperatures around Alice Springs dropping about 10-15 degrees from the mid 30Cs to the low 20Cs by the weekend.
“The plunging mercury could also see fresh to strong southerly winds whip through the region.
“That’s more similar to typical autumn weather for Central Australia.”
