AN OUTBACK adventure through the Red Centre will feature on popular Australian travel series Travel Guides.
Broadcast on Channel 9 nationally as well as 9 NOW online, the series features a group of ordinary Australians who take on the job of travel critics reviewing accommodation, cuisine and local attractions.
In Alice Springs, the guides – the Fren family – will experience a stay at Crowne Plaza, visit the Transport Museum Hall of Fame, visit the family-run Earth Sanctuary World Nature Centre and enjoy a surprise performance at Monte’s Lounge before hitting the road for a self-drive tour to Kings Canyon where they experience camping at Kings Creek Station as well as the Kings Canyon Rim Walk.

The guides also travel to Uluru and the Voyages Ayers Rock Resort for a luxury stay at Sails in The Desert.
Marketing Tourism NT, executive general manager, Tony Quarmby, said the feature would “provide a much-needed awareness boost to the Territory’s tourism operators, accommodation providers and local businesses alike”.
“With the NT Summer Sale driving interstate bookings to the NT, as well as Territorians undertaking more self-drive holidays, it’s great to be featured front and centre to promote a holiday here this year across the nation,” he said.

Territorians can tune in to Travel Guides on Channel 9 or Imparja at 7.30pm on Wednesday, January 27.
