Police hunt for man injured in Central Desert motorbike accident

Northern Territory Police are calling for information after they received reports of an injured motorcyclist overnight.

NORTHERN Territory Police are calling for information after reports were received of an injured motorcyclist near Ti Tree on Monday night.

At 10pm the local health clinic received a call from an unidentified man who told staff he had crashed his motorcycle and injured his leg.

The phone signal was lost before an exact location could be determined.

Police have identified the callers location came from the western side of the Stuart Highway just south of the town.

Enquiries have been made throughout the night, with no missing persons reported to police.

Police are urging anyone with information relating to the incident to call police on 131 444 or anonymously via CrimeStoppers 1800 333 000. Please quote reference 9723589.
