“It would be great to have a long stay in Alice Springs.”

His time as CEO of Katherine Town Council has meant numerous successful dealings with the NT Government.

Mr Ryan said the council searched around Australia and had a large number of candidates to choose the successor to Mr Mooney from.

“Robert was the standout candidate and we are pleased he will come to head our team,” he said.

“After an extensive recruitment process, we are pleased to announce that Robert will be joining the Alice Springs Town Council team.

“Robert has worked in both private and public sectors, has more than 10 years of experience in local government; including his most recent role as CEO at Katherine Town Council giving him an appreciation for Territory communities.

With a strong background in economics, architecture, urban design and development, Mr Jennings is looking forward to embracing his new role.

“I’m keen to be working with the council team to continue to deliver a high standard of municipal services while also working with the broader Alice Springs community towards driving council projects and initiatives,” he said.
