MULTIPLE people have had a lucky escape after a car and a triple road train collided on the Stuart Hwy on Sunday morning.

Southern Watch Commander Jared Porch said police were called to the crash at 9.30am, 11 kilometres north of the Erldunda Roadhouse.

“This crash involves a triple road train, and a vehicle towing a caravan.

“There were two adults and two children in the car, and there was at least one driver of the road train.

“Thankfully all occupants were able to self extricated from the vehicles with no serious injuries reported.

“We thank members of the public who were involved who were patient with police directions as the road was blocked for some time due to debris and the road train.

“However, they were removed and the scene [was cleared] and were able to then open up the road and all was good.”
