CHIEF Minister Michael Gunner is visiting Alice Springs to attend meetings to discuss the town’s ongoing issues with crime — and youth crime in particular.

Mr Gunner flew to Alice on Wednesday to discuss the progress of an NT police strike force — Strike Force Viper — with key members of the team.

The Chief Minister’s office said he won’t be making any public appearances or announcements.

Instead Mr Gunner was expected to attend several closed-door meetings on Wednesday and Thursday.

The meeting with Strike Force Viper members comes after the town saw yet another violent incident at the weekend, when a brawl on Todd Street was captured on video and widely shared to social media.
