Summer Nights will be hitting Alice Springs a month early this year.
The Alice Springs Theatre Group have been Hopelessly Devoted to bringing Grease: the Musical to stage in the Red Centre and opening night is just around the corner.
A cast of 23 talented performers will bring the famous musical to life next month with nine performances across the month of November at the Totem Theatre.
After first coming together in August, the musical will open on Friday November 1 with production manager Kris Kidd saying a lot of work has gone into making it a special show.
“We’ve been doing rehearsals since the beginning of August, so for about three months now,” she told the Centralian Advocate.
“Then we’re into a month of performances.
“There’s been three rehearsals a week for those three months, each for a couple of hours.
“The crowd can expect to see pretty much what you’d expect, with just a little bit of a twist.
“Steve Kidd, our director, likes to put his own bent on things.
“You’re going to see all the songs you want, Hand Jive, Hopelessly Devoted to You, You’re the One That I Want, and Summer Nights of course.”
Michelle Fleming will take on the role of Danny Zuko while Maali Kidd will become Sandra Dee for the month of November.
Tickets for all shows are available exclusively online at www.trybooking.com/BEROY with those interested in attending encouraged to get in quickly before they sell out.
Grease: The Musical will open at the Totem Theatre on Friday November 1 with closing night set for Saturday November 23.
