From midday yesterday, all pubs, clubs, places of worship and gyms were forced to shut, with restaurants and cafes restricted to take-away and home delivery only.

The logic is sound, according to the Cinema’s Operations Manager, Rene Sutton, who said that along with more frequent sanitation of the entire premises, seating restrictions had also come into effect.
“We’ve limited the number of seats available in each cinema so that people can sit safe distances from those they aren’t attending with,” Ms Sutton explained.
