In a Facebook post, the Alice Springs Aquatic and Leisure Centre announced the closure of the pool on Tuesday morning and said it will provide an update next week.

The indoor pools remain open.

The centre has undergone a series of upgrades in recent years, including a new splash pad, barbecue facilities, and irrigation system.
