AN international flight bound for Brisbane made an emergency touch down at Alice Springs Airport following a medical incident on board, overnight.
At 2:47am Border Force Darwin Airport called upon Northern Territory Police and Emergency Services (NT PES) to assist at the Alice Springs Airport after a 49-year-old woman suffered a severe medical episode during the flight.

The plane landed just before 3am, by which time the woman had regained consciousness and was taken to Alice Springs Hospital for assessment.
A spokesperson for Central Australia Health Service confirmed the passenger had suffered an allergic reaction.
“The woman had an allergic reaction (known allergies) and is in a stable condition currently in Alice Springs Hospital Emergency Department,” Stakeholder Engagement Officer, Central Australia Health Service, Adrian Renzi said.

The incident had no association with Coronavirus (COVID-19), Mr Renzi confirmed.
A spokesperson for NT PES told the Centralian Advocate the flight departed Alice Springs Airport just after 4am and continued on to Brisbane.
