AFTER almost losing her hand in a fishing accident in remote Arnhem Land, Juanita Davey and her husband Bruce have donated a $15,000 cruise to be raffled to raise funds for CareFlight.

Ms Davey was retrieved from Rimbija Island, a round trip of 1372km, when fishing line wrapped around her hand, nearly slicing it off.

In a gesture of gratefulness and respect, Ms Davey and her husband made the donation to help ensure other people in remote areas could continue to feel comfort in knowing CareFlight is there to help.

CareFlight is on a mission to raise $25,000 to ensure continuation of its work. Fundraisers will be held at Coolalinga Central in the lead-up to Christmas, with present wrapping for small donations.
