The first crew arrived at 12.50pm on Wednesday to find the home “well-involved” in flame.

The QFD spokeswoman said all occupants of the home were out and accounted for.

Firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control by 1.03pm and it was extinguished by 1.14pm.

Crews then dampened down hotspots.

Queensland Ambulance Service and Queensland Police Service crews are also in attendance.

“We’ve conducted all searches and found no one in the structure,” the QFD spokeswoman said.

According to a passerby at the scene of the fire, the occupant of the house put his phone on charge and went to have a shower when he heard a fire alarm go off.

By the time he went to fill a bucket of water and return to the power point flames had got a hold of the curtains and quickly engulfed a large section of the house.

“So he grabbed his two dogs and ran,” the witness said.

QFD has attached a fire investigator to the case.
