‘Serious injuries’: Motorcycle and car collide in Cairns crash
Emergency services have been called to help a man seriously injured in a road crash involving a motorcycle and car in Cairns.

Emergency services have been called to a road crash involving a motorcycle and car at Westcourt.
At 2pm medics received a triple-0 call for help after the motorcycle rider was injured in the collision at the corner of Boland and Earl streets.
The male rider was reported to be lying on the road and not moving with a serious ankle injury and exposed bone on his right foot.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said the injured man was aged in his 60s.
“We have one crew at the moment treating him,” he said.
“It sounds like he may have some serious injuries.”
It’s expected the man will be taken to Cairns Hospital for further treatment.
Police have also attended the scene of the road traffic crash.
A section of the road has been blocked off by emergency services vehicles and at 3.08pm Barron River Towing arrived at the scene to remove wrecked vehicles from the road.
