Two men have been caught on camera stealing tools, machinery and chemicals from a Far North Queensland airport, with police appealing to the public for assistance in identifying them.
The men can be seen in the footage picking up a large plastic tub and carrying it over to a storage cupboard, before using a flashlight to search for items inside.
They then proceed to fill the container with items from the cupboard before moving over to a fridge.
Initial reports indicate the two men are believed to have forced entry into three facilities at the airport where they stole various tools, machinery and vehicle parts.
In addition they also stole chemicals and food items.
The break and enters occurred at Weipa Airport on December 2 between 5pm and 3am on December 3.
It comes as the region was officially declared the youth crime capital this week, according to Queensland Police Service data released by the state government.
Detectives from the Weipa Criminal Investigation Branch released the CCTV vision in hopes the public may be able to assist in identifying who they are.
Anyone with information or relevant vision is urged to contact police.
