Two teens have been taken to hospital following a two-vehicle crash in Edmonton on Friday morning.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman confirmed crews assessed three people after a truck and car crash on Hargreaves Street and Vickers Street at 7.40am.
“Two male patients in their late teens have sustained back injuries,” the spokeswoman said.
“They’ve been transported to Cairns hospital in a stable condition.”
A third man in his 20s was also assessed on scene, however he wasn't injured.
It follows a seperate incident also in Edmonton, where emergency services responded to a car fire.
A Queensland Fire Department spokesman confirmed one crew had extinguished the fire on the Chay Road and Mount Peter Road intersection at 6.40am.
“People reported hearing explosions coming from the vehicle,” the spokesman confirmed.
“Crews confirmed the vehicle fire and were in action with the fire hose.”
The fire was extinguished around 7am.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman confirmed the incident included two stolen vehicles, however only on was destroyed by fire.
“One vehicle was destroyed, and there was another seen with it,” the spokeswoman said.
“The property crime team are investigating.”
