At least three fire crews are responding to reports of a ‘well involved’ structure fire in Cairns South.
Queensland Fire Department crews were called to Dempsey Street in Gordonvale at 2.24pm in response to a large structure fire.
At 2.45 three crews were on the scene with more tasked in response.
A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said the fire was fully involved with three crews battling the blaze in breathing apparatus.
“We were called around 2.25 with reports of a shed on fire, we have three crews currently on scene fighting the fire which is fully involved,” she said.
“QAS is also in attendance.”
A Queensland Ambulance Spokesman said two people wee involved at the scene.
“Both have declined treatment or assessment but we will remain on scene as fire standby.”
