Cairns cyclist, 54, dies after Christmas Day crash at Edge Hill
A cyclist aged in his 50s has died after he was critically injured in a crash in Cairns on Christmas Day, police have confirmed.

A CAIRNS cyclist has died following a traffic crash on Christmas Day, police have confirmed.
About 4.50pm Saturday, a car and an electric bicycle collided on Purbeck Place in Edge Hill.
The 54-year-old cyclist from Aeroglen was taken to Cairns Hospital with critical injuries, police said.
The man has since died as a result of the injuries sustained in the crash.
Police say the driver of the car was not physically injured during the collision.
Investigators from the Forensic Crash Unit are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or was in the vicinity of Purbeck Place between 4.45pm and 5pm on December 25 and has dashcam footage, to contact police.
