NORTHERN beaches locals have a new option for breakfast or lunch with Kewarra Beach Resort and Spa emerging from Covid with a fresh new twist.
The Kewarra cafe at the resort’s stunning dining area overlooking striking paperbark trees and the beach is now open from Wednesday to Sunday for breakfast from 7am to 11am and lunch from noon until 2pm.
Operations manager Paul Robjent said staff shortages had prevented the restaurant from reopening for dinner.
The breakfast menu features a super green brekky, omelettes and avocado smash with whipped fetta, tomato salsa and dukkha.
“For lunch, we have a really good club sandwich, it’s hard to eat it all,” Mr Robjent said.
Lunch options include Kewarra chicken parma, a Buddha bowl, falafel wrap, and nachos.
The hugely popular Kewarra Beach Shack nights on Fridays from 5pm to 9pm and Sundays from 4pm to 8pm have live music and a range of food trucks on hand is a northern beaches favourite, with tables on the sand.
“But try and get here on time because we do fill up very quickly,” Mr Robjent said.
The resort is operating 19 suites with guests from Melbourne and Sydney.
“We are also starting to see a few people from the United Kingdom and the US as well,” he said.
