A woman has allegedly been sexually assaulted during broad daylight in the Cairns CBD.

A woman has allegedly been sexually assaulted during broad daylight in the Cairns CBD.
The woman was reportedly walking along Sheridan Street, in the CBD at 10.30am on Sunday June 22, when she was grabbed by a man, before managing to free herself.
Police will allege the 53-year-old Bungalow man grabbed the woman inappropriately, before she pushed him away.
The victim reported the alleged assault to the Cairns Police and the man was arrested a short time later.
He was charged with one count each of sexual assault and failure to appear in accordance with undertaking.
Police bail was refused, and he is scheduled to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on Monday June 23.
