Chocolate with a Territory flair will decorate NT tables this Easter as one chocolatier prepares to expand his sweet empire.
Bumble Bean Chocolates owner Leo Cleanthous said 2024 had been “a good Easter” for his shop.
Mr Cleanthous said he’d been busy with orders – including chocolate bunnies and eggs moulded in-house – as the NT prepares for the upcoming long weekend.
But the shop’s Belgian chocolate creations don’t stop at the basics.
Mr Cleanthous said he and his team worked to localise their bars with NT ingredients such as rosella, pepperberries, dried mango, dragonfruit, Kakadu plum, and chillies.
“(We have) Territory bars which are two different bars – one’s got a crocodile shape and the other one’s got a barramundi shape,” he said.
“We are actually doing our first delivery to the airport newsagent today (Wednesday).
“When people are flying out they can buy a croc or a barra or something from Darwin and take it to people down south or overseas or wherever they go.”
