The bodies of two people have been found dead inside a unit at a Gold Coast apartment complex in a possible murder-suicide.

A crime scene has been established at an apartment complex on the Gold Coast after the bodies of two people were found dead inside a unit.

Police were called to the Magic Mountain Apartment Complex on Great Hall Dr in Miami where they found the two people dead about 4.10pm on Thursday local time.

A crime scene has been declared and an investigation is underway.

Emergency services were responding to a call that two people were deceased inside a Gold Coast unit when they discovered the bodies.

A police spokesman said they believed there was no ongoing threat to the public.

The Courier Mail reported the victims are believed to be an elderly couple and police are investigating if the deaths are a murder-suicide.
